What we offer!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? Do you want to positively impact the community? If so, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. We are a progressive agency passionately committed to supporting our staff and youth through strength based and trauma informed approaches.
What does a Youth Mentor do?
As a member of one of SCP’s mentorship based programs, you will be mentoring and supporting youth involved with SCP at different levels. Your shifts will include planning and implementing 1:1 activities and programming from 4 main categories: (a) building healthy relationships, (b) education, (c) recreation, and (d) life skills. Needs will vary between youth. A strong case management focus is required to meet the deliverables of outcome-based contracts that work towards building independence and positive support systems.
What you bring to the table!
What you get in return!
The successful candidate may be eligible for a full benefit package (life, ad&d, dental, vision care, extended health coverage {includes massage, chiropractor, etc, *matching RRSP contributions).
In the interest of giving all internal staff the opportunity to apply for open positions within the Agency, job postings will generally be offered internally first. As an equal opportunity employer we are committed to reflect the diversity of the youth we serve, and fully support inclusivity in the workplace. We strongly encourage Indigenous applicants to consider this opportunity.
Thank you.
