What we offer!
Are you looking for a fun back job in a casual and supportive setting? Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of youth? Do you want to positively impact the community? If so, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. We are a progressive agency passionately committed to supporting our staff and youth through strength based and trauma informed approaches.
What does a Youth Support Worker do?
As an SCP’s Youth Support Worker, your primary role is to provide trauma informed, strength based, relationship focused, and youth centered support to the residents of SCP's shelter and/or peer homes. You will supervise, engage with, and make sure all needs of the youth are met. Reporting on youth progress and administration is required. In the Youth Support Worker role you will be responsible for supporting and implementing case management plans, assisting with programming development and delivery, supporting/assisting youth with activities of daily living and life skill development, and modeling/championing positive relationships and healthy choices. Before the end of your shift you are responsible for documenting all pertinent information and communicating pressing concerns to the case management team.
What you bring to the table!
What you get in return!
The successful candidate may be eligible for a full benefit package (life, ad&d, dental, vision care, extended health coverage {includes massage, chiropractor, etc, *matching RRSP contributions).
In the interest of giving all internal staff the opportunity to apply for open positions within the Agency, job postings will generally be offered internally first. As an equal opportunity employer we are committed to reflect the diversity of the youth we serve, and fully support inclusivity in the workplace. We strongly encourage Indigenous applicants to consider this opportunity.
Thank you.
